Caradvice uit Australië is in het bezit van beelden van de 2018 Ford Focus Sedan uitvoering, deze was nog niet eerder gezien als ’test’ kandidaat.
Dat ook hier de beelden duidelijk niets nieuws laten zien zal geen verrassing zijn, tenslotte proberen de automakers niets te onthullen voor zijn daadwerkelijke introductie, al dan niet als prototype.

Dat ook de 2018 Ford Focus Sedan ‘groter’ dan zijn voorganger oogt, valt samen met alles wat er tot nu toe bekend is aan het nieuw te verwachten model, n.l. dat deze een maatje groter zal worden.
Voor de rest blijft het voor iedereen afwachten waarmee Ford ons binnenkort mee gaat verrassen. En zijn de ogen gericht op de 2018 NAIAS Auto Show (North American International Auto Show) die van 13-28 januari 2018 gehouden zal worden.

The next-generation Ford Focus sedan has been spied doing a spot of hot weather testing in southern Europe.
We can see, despite a plethora of false panels and head-to-toe camouflage, Ford has ditched the six side window treatment used in all generations of the Focus sedan thus far.

Like the five-door hatch, which was last spotted in February, the new sedan also has a prominent shoulder line gracing its side. Under the bonnet, the Focus will be powered by a range of turbocharged petrol and diesel engines, including the much awarded 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol motor.

A plug-in hybrid variant and a new electric model are expected to surface a year or two into the new generation’s life. An earlier set of spy photos revealed much of the new Focus’ interior, which includes a cleaner design similar to the one used on the latest generation Fiesta.

A free-standing pod for the Sync 3 touchscreen infotainment system will be present, at least, on mid- to high-spec models. Expect to see a customisable digital instrument display, and the latest safety technology.
