M-Sport’s tarmac testing grounds (on an old airfield in the UK countryside) were today’s testing grounds for the new Ford Performance | M-Sport built Ford Focus RS RX racecar.
Anyone notice something unusual about this photo? Hint: it’s got a lot to do with my seating position in the new Ford Focus RS RX racecar. Which is absolutely ridiculous, in a good way, ha.
Things got a bit heated on the track. Braking-related things. Ha. Did some durability testing with the Ford Focus RS RX, it passed with glowing rotors.
Amazing to see all the little details that Ford Performance and M-Sport have engineered into this new Ford Focus RS RX racecar – from the bodywork, to the steering wheel, even down to the windows. This thing is really a piece of racing art.
One of my favorite things on my new Ford Focus RS RX racecar: this amazing steering wheel. So good. Much like. Which is nice, since I’m going to be looking at this at this thing a lot this year. Anyone catch the little Easter egg that M-Sport put in there for me?
Amazing detail on this new carbon fiber door card in my new Ford Focus RS RX. Have I ever mentioned how much I love carbon fiber???
Behind-the-scenes snap of Andreas Bakkerud talking to M-Sport test driver (and former WRC driver) Matthew Wilson about the new Ford Focus RS RX. Like typical racecar drivers, they are talking with their mouths and hands! Ha.
Here she is, full body-in-white and ready to be wrapped: the new Ford Focus RS RX racecar. I absolutely love this rallycross beast, and can’t wait to race it in just over a week in Portugal.
I love this thing… stoked to put many more miles on it this year!
