2015 Focus sedan and wagon rendered in ST flavor

‘Won’t happen’, zegt waarschijnlijk genoeg, maar de beelden smaken naar meer. Wat denken jullie, zou Ford hier iets mee moeten doen?

2015 Ford Focus sedan and wagon rendered in ST flavor – Won’t happen

Focus Sedan ST Rendering

X-Tomi Design is presenting hypothetical ST versions of the recently facelifted Ford Focus sedan and wagon.

Last weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed we saw Ford’s facelifted Focus ST and now those design cues were implemented in the sedan and wagon versions which won’t receive the ST treatment in this generation. These renders prove Ford should consider applying the ST treatment onto the next-gen Focus sedan and wagon as well, along with a three-door version which would probably be the most desirable.

As a reminder, the 2015 Focus ST continues with a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine with 250 PS (183 kW) and 360 Nm (265 lb-ft). Coinciding with the facelift’s launch is a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter TDCi diesel rated at 185 PS (136 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) representing the first time when the Focus ST is offered with a diesel engine.

Besides the new engine, the refreshed Focus ST also comes with a retuned suspension, an upgraded power steering system and a different torque vectoring control system. Another novelty is represented by the Electronic Transitional Stability function which is activated as “required to maintain optimal precision and control during rapid changes of direction at speed.”

Order books will open this fall, with deliveries programed to kick off at the beginning of 2015. An all-new Focus is scheduled to go on sale in 2017.
